Back in the early 2000s, when I was a fresh and wet behind the ears web designers, one of the most innovative websites, and one of my all time favourites on the web, was shaveeverywhere.com. Now before your mind automatically goes in the gutter, this was not a porn site. It was a website for the Phillips Bodygroom body shaver.
This website was one of the first full flash video websites on the web. To a lot of you that doesn’t mean much, but to someone who’s been in the web world as long as I was, you’ll appreciate what I just said in the previous sentence. Unfortunately, the website no longer loads, but I’m going to post two YouTube videos that I ask you to watch.
Hilarious, right?!
So after seeing this product, I wanted it! I’ve always been a big believer in “manscaping” and the marketing for this product was amazing, and if it actually worked, it would save me some unnecessary nicks and scratches in places you don’t want nicks and scratches. The only reason I didn’t buy it right away was that, as someone in his early 20s, I thought that the price point was a little steep at $59.99.
Flash forward 10 years and after aging and starting to grow hair on places that I don’t want hair, I finally decide to splurge and get myself a body groom.
I’ve now been using the body groom for 2 years and if I could turn back time like Cher, I would have bought one of these bad boys 10 years ago.
Look, I’m not going to get into the details of my grooming regimen, but what I will say is that the body groom works and it is awesome. The extension for the handle helps me reach places I’d not be able to get without asking my wife to shave for me, and the design of the blades prevents unwanted pinches and snags in places I definitely don’t want pinching and snagging occurring. I think the best feature about this razor is that you can use it in the shower. No fuss, no muss, no mess.
So, if you’re a man who cares about unwanted body hair, and you wouldn’t mind that added “optical inch”, this is what you need to go out and get!
