What you’ll need:
Multi-Grain Nacho Chips
Low-Fat Cheese
Extra-Lean Ground Turkey
Low-Sodium Taco Seasoning
Any Veggies that you want to add, I use Green & Red Bell Peppers, Red Onion and Tomato
Salsa
And if you can handle it, hot sauce
Preparation:
Fry up the lean turkey, drain the fat, add the Taco Seasoning (following the instructions) and add your veggies. I personally like my veggies a bit crispy, so I only cook them for about 5 minutes on low but cook them to your preference.
On a cookie sheet, lay out a piece of aluminum foil (trying to get baked cheese off a cookie sheet is NOT fun!) and lay out your first layer of nacho chips. Sprinkle them in shredded cheese and then with a spoon, pile on your meat and veggies. Do a few layers of this if you would like.
Bake in the oven at about 300 F until your cheese is melted. Serve with salsa. If desired, I also add a few table spoons of salsa on the nachos before I bake them in the oven.
Nice! I’ll definitely be bookmarking this for the Superbowl.
They were delicious! Nachos aren’t the healthiest, but they’re not terrible if you make them right! Enjoy!
….and to top off the night…..the Leafs won!!
DAMN RIGHT THEY DID!! I stayed up until 2:45AM watching the game. Now as long as we beat the Sens Saturday, they can lose every game for the rest of the season!
